We've had our first full week and made some really great art. Below is just a small sampling. Each 1st- 5th grader that comes to me will be making a sketchbook to use all year long. At the end of the year, they will take it home with them.

The next project we do depends on how many days are in the week. This week 3rd-5th graders created Warm & Cool Landscapes emphasizing the Elements of Art, of Line and Color. We also looked at David Hockney's work for inspiration.

The first graders made paper sculptures that resemble roller coasters! We discussed different kinds of sculpture, lines, shapes and what they look like on paper versus in real life.
